Live. Film. Repeat

I tell stories, usually filming around people. I'm fascinated about their everyday life, but it's never about triviality.

I explore minorities, marginal areas, ecological solutions and new proposal for a better way of living.

Visiting the gipsy city in the Balkans.

In this reportage I explored Skopjie, the capital of North Macedonia, where Roma communities (or gipsies) live under an official municipality.

This means not only they have facilities such as Roma schools and hospitals, but they are also recognised as minority and preserved as such (this applies on the language and traditional activities for example).

Fire purification practice – a Polish ecovillage old tradition

I crossed the Tatra mountains from the Slovakian side to reach a unique ecovillage. Where an ancient fire practice is used to cleanse the energy, the air and the soul.

Electronic music in Transilvanya?

Romania one of the ancient forest in Europe, with trees aging even 500 years. It’s beauty is much appreciated by locals too.

That’s why WAHA festival was born. To bring people and music together in the wildest natural environment possible.

How to be Vegan surfers

Alfredo Meschi is a symbol for the vegan movement in Italy.

After connecting with a French brand that make surf boards from recycling materials he decided to build his own and went surfing on the Tuscany coast.

A few things I love to do

There are many things I love to do in life but as someone cooler than me said: “actions express priorities”, here’s what I do the most.

Film people stories

I do portrait documentaries about people to show the change they are promoting to this world.

Travel and adventures

I love travelling to discover new cultures and find hidden places. I do it as sustainable as possible: usually cycling or with rucksack and trains.

Music profiles

I follow musicians and I film them in their everyday life as much as in gigs. I also visit music festivals and events that shares a strong sense of community.

Reportage

Research and film on things that don’t look right.

Adventure

Exploring places and people on sustainable transports: bicycle or train.

Portraits

Spending a day or two with inspiring people.

Bikepacking Slovenia

I went cycling for one week in the north west part of Slovenia. Lush landscapes like paintings with crystal clear river, green forests and high mountains.

Imagine living in all these and nothing else day and night for one week. The power of wild camping is incredible.

my style

I film in a documentary style. Nothing is scripted, I only have a shotlist with me but the filming process follow a feeling, an energy force created between me and the person I’m following.

Intimate interviews

I don’t ask questions as to steal information.

I chat with my interviewee.

I sincerely want to know his/her story and find connections to my own experience.

Spending time

I don’t rush a story.

I spend genuine time with the person I’m following. I go with her/him to different locations, I explore her/his world as a friend would do. Often sharing outdoor activites.

Filming technique

More specifically I film following observational documentary techniques: I follow and don’t ask to repeat an action. I use voiceovers, drone footage, photo albums and emotional music as soundtrack.
